I decided to start a blog about my garden. The primary purpose of this blog is just to record my gardening adventures for future reference. It would be an added bonus if other people actually read the blog and posted feedback and comments.
I would say I am an intermediate gardener. I have been gardening for about 7 years; immediately when I started gardening I fell in love with it. I am excited about gardening this year because I am not pregnant, I don't have a newborn and I am a stay at home mom - so I have a little more flexibility with my gardening time than I have had in the past.
My goal for my garden this year is to grow as much food for the entire year for my family as possible. I am going to can, freeze or otherwise preserve as much as possible. I have a strong mistrust of conventionally grown food and I try to feed my daughter only food that I know where it came from. While this is not always practical it does give me a lot of motivation for my garden this year.
